Trend Report for Winter 2010 - 2011
The winter time of 2011 marks a transition from a very unsettled time of great shocks and changes to a more settled, slower, normal time period. It doesn't start off as a settled time period however!
December of 2010 and January of 2011 contain a stress filled heliocentric (T-square) connection of Jupiter (travel) Saturn (delays) and Pluto (cleaning up the mess), among many other things. The missing piece of this puzzle is the sign of Cancer and so when anything in the sign of Cancer triggers this planetary mess, we get WATER with floods, rain, snow, blizzards, freezing rain and ice etc. This intense wet weather pattern will lessen as we get into February.
On January 4th, the last great Uranian shocking change stressor will occur (as it squares the Galactic Center while exactly conjunct Jupiter). Expect a volatile first week of this new year and the shocking changing revolutionary solo Uranian effect will last until we get into mid February.
On January 22nd Jupiter enters the sign of Aries, and stays there until June 4th this year. We can all expect many new and positive initiatives coming in the first half of 2011, including a new spiritual awareness in some people. This brings a new cycle in many areas with energy, and a new dynamism. Many people will realize that it is time to leave the old behind - and to start with something new after January 22nd.
On January 25th, Saturn turns Retrograde in Libra, and so our career plans will take a powerful turn requiring reflection and rethinking. If your career is focused on success in the mainstream, and it's not working, it will be time to do it your own way.
On January 29th, the pattern of planets in the sky shift into what we call a FAN Pattern, with the planet Saturn being the filter of everything. Saturn slows things down and tests everything, and represents the brakes being applied everywhere. This begins a major Saturnian on and off focus that will last until June of this year. Saturn prefers the old and conservative way of doing everything and it is in complete contrast to the Uranian independent new and shocking way of doing things. This 'slow down' theme will likely apply to the economy as well.
Most of the year 2010 was full of worker strikes, protests and powerful weather shocks and trends. I fully expected, as one side effect of all of that planetary stress, that the economy and the stock market would have really slowed down by now. With all the stimulus provided (US Federal Reserve, European Union) and the fast and intense governmental action at every stressful turning point, a downturn has been prevented so far.....
However, the stressful planetary times are not quite over yet. A repeat of a theme from December 2010 continues. On February 6, 2011, the last of the planetary patterns from the 1930's repeats again.

Report for Winter 2010 - 2011 continued...
This potential 'economic chaos in the international banking system' that I referred to in the Fall 2010 Report, occurs one last time and will be in effect until we get into the Spring of 2011. Almost every time the BBC refers to the economic system in Europe, it refers to it as being in a 'crisis'. International economic decision makers had better stay on 'high alert status'. (I am referring here to the septile aspect between Neptune and Pluto).
As Neptune also represents 'vacations' and is being triggered by a 'chaos' aspect from late Fall 2010 until Spring 2011, I can well understand why so many tourists and travelers have had such a strange time of it lately, on top of the first 'Delays while Travelling' theme that I wrote about to open this Winter Report.
On February 1st, women will want their freedom, and want to travel and to learn and to get their workouts back on track if their fitness level has been detoured somehow.
On February 6th, women will be optomistic, but by February 10th women in general will be intense and be tempted to bulldoze people around them to get their way. Be careful if you value the relationship or you could destroy it!
On February 12th, the planets shift into another very unstable pattern that will last until February 21st.
The combination here of ongoing Saturn (a slow down), chaos between the two planets mentioned above, and the instability in the overall pattern of planets, indicates that for everyone this will continue to be a tricky time period to navigate until we are well into the Spring time.
On February 19th, women will be working very hard and facing deadlines, or feeling depressed with how things are progressing. This feeling will pass quickly - so women should beware of making long term decisions right around the 19th of this month.
On February 20th, three planets come together in the future-oriented and technology-oriented sign of Aquarius. They are Mercury (ideas) , Mars (action, business, sports) and Neptune (dreams, visions). This marks a turning point with what will manifest in all of our futures when it comes to technology, ideas, and business. This will likely bring more visionary technology into the picture for consumers.
On February 26th, the planets shift back into a FAN pattern again, with Saturn becoming the filter of everything. As Saturn is the 'slow down' planet, I don't think it likely that our economy will pick up rapidly this winter.
I really wish I could give you better news than this about our winter time, but it is better to be prepared for the season as it is.
For men, the time around March 5th will bring opportunities to reinvent themselves, and to get working on everything they want to do and to be.
March 15th, for the men that you know, will be a time of detours and adjustments as the new plan means a new direction.
On - MARCH 11th - URANUS enters ARIES - and stays in Aries for seven years. This represents a brand new cycle with most things, and that many new and exciting pioneering inventions and breakthroughs are about to unfold. This is the second major planet to enter the sign of Aries during this winter.
In spite of everything that is occurring, a new consciousness and a new way of being human is being born in the most aware people around you. This ongoing seven year theme brings new identities, new consciousness, new beginnings, new acceleration, new physical fitness, new business, new energy and more dynamism with most everything.
This new spirit will shift us all out of any winter doldrums that still remain, and by summer time I expect that any slow down in the economy will hopefully be behind us.
The people who will really feel this new energy will be the people born with their Sun's in Fire and Air signs. You will really feel the new energy if you are an Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, or an Aquarius.
Anyone with any planets in those signs, and that includes just about all of us, will also feel our personal and emotional selves shifting into a higher gear! Be happy that we are almost out of the roughest time period I have seen in a long time.
