Trend Report for Summer 2011 continued
The exciting NASA news this summer will be the mission to closely photograph and study the asteroid VESTA. The astrological impact of this asteroid brings a focus on computers, sciences, technology, software, analysis, mathematics and data. For the average person this isn’t going to be an exciting big deal, BUT it could indicate some major new breakthroughs with iPhones, iTablets, software, and solutions involving LOTS of number crunching.
The best way to describe this is, “this is a summer for nerds!” as they will be crunching numbers to solve various huge problems.
As soon as clear NASA photos start to come back from VESTA, these themes will ‘TURN ON’ in a big way.
This summer has the potential to be a highly positive and a very enterprising time period with many, many new initiatives starting to solve a LOT of problems. As the summer moves along, other planets come along and interact with the T-Square and week by week, new themes will emerge for all of us to think about. And then, new formations of planets will occur in August and September.
For a few days around June 21st, the focus is on Mercury as it receives the stress of the T-Square. Food supplies, rising food prices, communications, computers, software, the post office, media, gossip, lies, thieves and hackers will all be in the news. When a NASA mission made it to Mercury and sent back new photos a while back, we all started to hear about the thieving of Bernie Madoff. Do your best to listen carefully to everyone around you at this time as communications will be problematic.
Around July 1st the issues focus on real estate, families, savings, and the new realities for municipal governments around the world. Families will need to be dramatically rethinking their lifestyles to live within their means if they aren’t already.
Around July 12th, the planet Venus will be the focus of the energy. Women and their friendships and their relationships will be the top priority in their thinking. If the relationship isn’t working, then the relationship might not make it through to August. This is NOT the time to bulldoze your mate into becoming a different or a better person, so please be careful about that during July.
As Venus also represents our personal finances the war of opinions about WHAT to do to manage our economies and our lives will be a major part of July. Maybe you just might want to leave your vacation until August – if you can! Or tune out the media for the whole month of July!
Around July 20th, helio Venus and Mars will be the focus of the energy and opinions about our collective finances and the stunning anger being expressed with those opinions will be seen everywhere. I can just imagine the vitriolic posturing that will be going on in Washington DC. I don’t expect the American debt ceiling issue to be resolved until the last minute. Incredible adjustments will be necessary for politicians world wide to feel like they have survived this summer.
If this impacts your personal relationship in a stressful way, then please just take a break from each other for a few days until things calm down.
On July 28th, we have a repeat of July 1st, with themes again focused on real estate, families, savings, and the new realities for municipal governments around the world. It will be an emotional roller coaster of a day, so keep your emotional seat belt on.
Around July 30th, the ‘adjustments theme’ will be over, but men will be feeling the pressure to be flexible and to expand their horizons. For men everywhere it will be a wonderful time to be doing that very thing.
As I scanned August, there were a LOT of wonderfully positive indicators going on, and so I know that whatever isn’t solved in July will somehow work in August. I interpret this to mean that the political factions in the USA will somehow work out their differences before a real default on American debt occurs.
Mercury will be retrograde from August 3rd until August 25th.
The time around August 30th and September 15th brings the nurturance of relationships, children, families, animals and pets into the picture as well as time in the country to enjoy the season and to forget what happened in July!

Trend Report for Summer 2011
This is going to be one powerful summer! Essentially, there will be nine both stressful and energizing formations of planets between June 21st and September 15th, and seven of them happen before August 1st. Looking over everything, August will probably be the easiest time for us all this summer.
Until the end of July, the biggest arrangement of planets for the first month of summer is the stress of the connection between Saturn, Uranus and Pluto, in what we call a T-Square. Saturn relates to an economic slow down, governmental, conservative and corporate issues, while Uranus relates to shocks, changes, acceleration, political independants, entrepreneurs, and lastly Pluto, brings transformation, healing, debt, or life and death issues. This is already creating quite the recipe for a variety of powerful issues to emerge. For Americans, one issue is about the raising of their debt ceiling, or the shocks to their system if they don’t. The latest polls suggest over 60% of Americans do NOT want their debt ceiling raised.
The consequences of this debt ceiling mess for the United States are a bit shocking.
Totaling up all of these nine intense configurations, this summer will bring up themes focused upon re-building, construction, stress with real estate, infrastructure repairs, power struggles with governments and the workers in their societies, water supplies, flooding, families, atomic energy and the risks with it, reducing debts, smaller government, innovation, and the protection of homes, and that is just the beginning! During this summer, the rebuilding of the world will have begun, mostly due to storms, fires, floods, tornadoes, and a general need to boost the entire world’s economy somehow.
The wealth advisors that I talk to are telling me that the American economy has shrunk to zero percent growth this past Spring, and that the entire global economy has slowed down. This includes a slow down in the Chinese economy for the first time in decades. Through the Spring, we were living through a very Saturnian time (a slow down) as I wrote in my 2011 Spring Report.
The trillion dollar band aid that the Federal Reserve used to prevent last winter’s planetary stress from manifesting quickly, has only postponed a long term slow Great Contraction, which is how I am starting to think about the time period from 2008 until the year 2040. The people of the world will be learning how to manage their expectations with fewer resources to go around for quite a while. This doesn’t mean we are headed for disaster! Quite the contrary! I think we will be headed for a smarter approach to problem solving and NASA will be helping – even if they are astrologically clueless about how!
